I am going to compare and contrast between a Wii game and a real sport. A Wii game is a game that you can play on a TV at home. All you have to do is buy the game! A sport is a game that you physically play.
A Wii game is a virtual game that you can play at home on your TV. When you are playing a Wii sport you are using a Wii remote, not your hands physically, and you're not as active. If you are not as active, then you don't get as sweaty as you would playing a real sport.
A sport is an activity that you can participate in that helps with your balance and hand-eye coordination. It is better than sitting or standing at home because in a real sport you are seeing and playing the sport. If you are playing a real sport, then you are probably getting sweatier than the Wii game that you would be playing. Another difference between the two of them is that there are real people/players that you are playing against/with.
The similarities between the Wii game and a real sport are that they are both doing the same concepts, like if you are playing virtual swimming you would be doing somewhat like you would be doing if you were actually swimming. Another similarity is you would be having fun whatever you are doing! When you would play a Wii game or a real sport, you would always have someone to play against you or opponents.
That's my compare and contrasting of a Wii game Vs a real sport!

Izabel and Emma
Izabel has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes, and she has glasses. She is fun-sized! She is kind of like a tomboy, she hates wearing dresses and doesn't really care about her hair. (except when it's frizzy) Her mom died from cancer in about 2007 and she has been really strong about handling it! She is a brave little girl! Izabel is hilarious and she is always coming up with things to say and to do! Izzy, you are so funny how can I not love ya!
Emma has super long dark brown hair and blue eyes. She also has glasses and she is very creative! She has a great imagination! We used to go to the babysitter, Jean's, together with Jon. Olivia, Emma and I! She always used to be the one that is easy-going and doesn't let a lot of things bother her! I remember when we were at Jean's and she had to have a cast and we called it a Barney cast because it was purple and it kind of looked like Barney's foot! We always used to have to carry her up and down stairs, which was kind of fun to watch because she was laughing. Emma is the most free spirited person you could ever meet, and that's probably why I loved her!

Poems!
Haiku:
The cool, summer breeze,
blew through the valley of grass,
and up toward the sky.
The cold, morning dew,
glistening in the warm sun,
is upon each grass sprout.
Cinquain:
Basketball
Dribble, shoot, score
Hard-core defense gets steals
Opponents depressed with a loss
"Good game"
Rhyme:
There's A Monster Under My Bed
There's a monster under my bed,
I saw it last night.
It's gleaming eyes were looking at me
It frightened me with fright!
It was a booger green,
and it's skin was like scales.
His eyes were bright yellow,
and his hands were as big as whales!
He's actually really nice,
after you get to meet him.
So if I call him out,
he won't be very grim!

Madison and Hannah
Madison has beautiful long brown hair and green eyes. Have I told you I always wanted green eyes?! She lives in the country with her two sisters, Cassie and Kelsey. She has a lot of dogs and kittens. The kittens sometimes go inside, but rarely don't. The dogs are very little, so they go inside. She used to have a rat in her room as a pet. She is very pretty! Love you Madison!
Hannah has medium length blonde hair, and beautiful blue eyes! She is the only child. She loves doing hair and is really good at it. She wants to become a cosmetologist and do peoples makeup and other stuff like that. Her mom is very pretty too! They both have blonde hair. Hannah says that her and her mom get in fights a lot but they are also kind of funny fights too! Oh Hannah you are so crazy but I love ya anyways!

If You Grow A Cyclops Some Hair!!
If you grow a cyclops some hair, she'll probably want it too be dyed a bright baby blue. If you dye her hair a bright baby blue, she'll think it's too tacky and make you re-dye it blonde. If you re-dye her hair blonde she'll think that it looks like she's unintelligent. If she thinks that she looks unintelligent she'll probably want you to re-dye it brunette. If you dye her hair brunette, she'll want a big, black and white bow to wear with her new brunette hair. If you give her a big, black and white bow to wear she'll probably want to look at it in the mirror. When she looks at it in the mirror, she'll decide that she needs to go to town and show off her new hair. When she goes out to show off her new hair, she'll probably fall in a muddy puddle. If she falls in a muddy puddle, she'll probably get her new hair and scales all dirty and will have to wash them. When she's done washing up, she'll probably forget to read all of the human manual and accidentally pick up a shaver instead of a hairbrush. When she accidentally picks up the shaver instead of the hairbrush, she will probably accidentally shave off her new hair. She will get extremely mad ( I would stay away from her for a while) and chances are.... if she shaves it off, she'll want you to grow her some more new hair!

My Morning Routine
First, my dad comes in and wakes me up at 6:50 in the morning, but sometimes I sleep in until 7:15 or 7:00. Anyway, we have to be out the door and going to school by 7:35. That means I have about half an hour to get ready and do other things.
Next, I eat breakfast, I usually eat cereal or if my dad is up early, he'll make bacon, eggs, and maybe pancakes. I eat breakfast REALLY slow, and it will take me about 5 minutes just to eat a bowl of cereal. That's why sometimes I have to get up at 6:50, because my dad is making breakfast and he knows I eat slow...
Next, I brush my teeth, because I have tried to brush my teeth after I am done doing my hair and I almost forgot, and that would be nasty, so I decided that right after breakfast I go and brush my teeth.
Then, I do my hair, which takes about five to fifteen minutes depending on what I think I am going to do. Like if I am curling it or doing something that takes time to do, it will take about fifteen minutes, but if I am putting it into a ponytail or something simple like that, then it only takes about five minutes.
Then, I get my shoes on and pack up my backpack for school. Sometimes I have to decide what shoes I am going to wear, and sometimes I just know right away. Packing up my bag and deciding what shoes usually take about 5 minutes.
Finally, my dad and I leave for school. It takes about 3 minutes to get from my house to the school, so we are at school by 7:40. That is my daily morning routine.

My Weekend!!
This weekend is the best one yet!! One reason why is because we have our home football game against North Cedar. We are good this year! The next reason is because I am going to be going to a track meet in Waverly! I am so excited! I hope I do good! The last reason is the best reason because I am going to another IOWA game!!! It is a night game and it is at Kinnick Stadium, and it is also a night game so it's going to be so cold my insides will be frozen!! I'm going to have to put on my TWO pairs of fuzzy socks for this one!! Iowa is going to be vs. Penn State, too bad the Joe Pa isn't there anymore. I am going with my cousin to the Iowa game and we are going to have fun! Hopefully it's not too cold. That's my weekend, hopefully it's not going to be as crazy and hectic like I think it's going to be!!

The Ghost of Graylock!!
The Ghost of Graylock is an amazing book by Dan Poblocki.
- it shut down because there had been drownings in the lake
- it lies deep in the woods
4. The fourth exciting/ interesting part of the whole book was when they went into Graylock for the first time and saw the ghost.
3. The third exciting/ interesting part of the whole book was when they learned that the ghost of Graylock was NOT Nurse Janet (Janet Reilly), it was a girl who drowned in the lake close by the hospital.
2. The second exciting/interesting part of the whole book was when Andy was chasing them through the woods with a log poker for a fireplace and they went in Graylock, the abandoned hospital, to hide.
1. The top thing that was exciting/ interesting in this whole book would be when they figured out that the mom's and the stepsister's killer was there dad, who was named Andy, and was standing right next to them.
Facts About Graylock:
- it used to be a hospital for mental children- it shut down because there had been drownings in the lake
- it lies deep in the woods
The Main Characters:
- Neil, which is the boy who it is mostly about.
- Bree, Neil's sister who is in it to solve the mystery of "Nurse Janet"
- Rebecka, the ghost that helps them find her killer.
- Neil's friends, The Bastise brothers, also help with the mystery.
- Andy, the friend that picks up the bunch when they "attempted" to go into Graylock.
- Neil's aunts, the caretakers of Neil and Bree.
Rebecka's Life
Rebecka had great and happy life, until she saw her mom get murdered by her own stepfather. She had been depressed since then, didn't eat, didn't sleep, and never came out of her room. At school, she wrote a beautiful poem, but if you read the first letter of every sentence it spelled daddy did it and when her stepfather found out about it, her was crushed. Then Rebecka ran away to Graylock, which wasn't very hard because they lived in the same town as Graylock. She said that that was the only place where she felt protected and comfortable. She was hurt after a while that they said that she was getting better and is going home. She never left her room. On one night the power went out because there was a nasty storm, the rain and sleet were spitting at the windows. Her stepfather snuck into the youth ward and killed her, he then dragged her body and threw it in the lake, so it looked like she drowned. There were never any nurses during the night except one. Who always patrolled the outside. The townspeople said that she did it and they ran her out of town. Her name was Janet Reilly. Rebecka has been haunted Graylock in hope that someone will get to hear her story, she wanted the townspeople to understand that is was not Janet Reilly, it was her stepfather.
Story Structure
- It is amazing because at the beginning it is very scary and pulls you in. Then it gives you a scary part and then a mystery that you are wondering "What could it be?"
- Next is the settling out moment of when you are trying to sink in everything that happens.
- Then, there is the turnaround part where your thinking of who it might be was definitely wrong, and a new suspicion comes into play.
- Finally, the mystery is unraveled and the action packed action begins and you are at the edge of the seat, and boom it what you least expect to happen happens and you fall right off your seat!
- The last part of the book is the flattening out of the book where they wrap things up.
- Then it is "The End"
The Excited and Interesting Parts (top 5)
5. The fifth exciting/interesting part of the whole book was when Neil saw a girl crying next to his bed, and thought it was his dream. When he actually woken up, he stepped down and it was wet, so he asked his sister, Bree if she had been in his room and she said, "No, why would I be in there at 5:00 in the morning?"

3. The third exciting/ interesting part of the whole book was when they learned that the ghost of Graylock was NOT Nurse Janet (Janet Reilly), it was a girl who drowned in the lake close by the hospital.

Other Facts:
- The reason how they found out about Rebecka was because she communicated with them
- They found out who did it because they found a poem that Rebecka did and if you read it down it said "daddy did it"
- Rebecka haunted Neil in his dreams, like pretending like he was drowning to communicate with Neil
You Should Join...
You should join an AAU basketball team. The amazing reasons why you should are because you can meet new people and maybe they will become your friends, and of course, it will help you improve your basketball skills! Another amazing reason is because you can travel to many different places, such as Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and Lincoln, Nebraska! Trust me because I've been there to play basketball for my AAU team. We are also planning on going to Kansas City, Kansas! My point is, you should join an AAU basketball team.

Snow Valley
Snow Valley is a basketball camp in Waverly. It is where you stay in the dorms and eat in the college cafeteria. It is a hard core camp because you have to get up at 6:00 in the morning and be in the gym ready to play basketball at 6:15. The other bad part about Snow Valley is that you don't get to bed until 10:00pm. They say that they do that because they wanna get you out of your comfort zone, and I got to tell you, it really works! I go to Snow Valley in the end of summer and I usually go with my friends from a different town. Snow Valley is a good way to improve on your basketball skills, I suggest that you check it out!

David Robinson
David Robinson
David Robinson was born on August 6, 1965, in Key West, Florida.
On the Court
He played basketball at the U.S. Naval Academy. After that, David joined the San Antonio Spurs in 1989. With that team he won 2 NBA Titles. He also won NBA's Rookie of the Year award. He won NBA's Defensive Player of the Year in 1992 and the Most Valuable Player of the Year in 1995. He was also recognized in the 50 greatest in NBA history. Robinson was also a member of the 2 gold-medal winning U.S. men's basketball teams, including the "Dream Team" that dominated the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. Finally, in 2009 he was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame! I think David Robinson loves and has a passion for the game of basketball and he's pretty good at it.
Off the Court
David Robinson is not only a great basketball player, but also a great person. In 1997, he donated $5 million dollars to found a college prep academy in a San Antonio an economically challenged neighborhood. Robinson and his wife also donated over $11 million dollars to Carver Academy, and it's not even named after him. However, the NBA's community service award is. Robinson also served 2 years of the active Navy Duty. David Robinson is a generous and caring guy.

Friends
F- Forgiving
R- Right by your side
I- Is trustworthy
E- Entertaining
N- Never talk about you
D- Drives you insane (in a good way)
S- SPECTACULAR!! <3
Friendship in very important. It helps you with being nice to people and help you have a better time than being by yourself! A good friend should be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, caring, fair, and fun. Each friend should have their own little way of being fun and having their own style. You should never not be friends with someone just because they are different or they are weird. It is their personality that you should like about them! You have to be nice to your friend, even if you are in a fight. It's okay to have many friends, the more the merrier, so go out there and find yourself some friends!!
Iowa!
Iowa is the best state in the United States of America. It is the Hawkeye State, but right now the Iowa Hawkeyes are not that good right now. I am going to the football game on Saturday and hopefully it is not that cold. They are taking on Central Michigan. I hope that they will win. Iowa is also a spectacular state because we are part of the "bread basket of America." We harvest a lot of corn and beans for food. This year was not so great because there was a big drought. Another part of Iowa is the Mississippi River, where I go boating most of the time. Also, Iowa has an Iowa State Fair in Des Monies, Iowa. I participate in 4-H and if you get a purple ribbon means that you are going to show that project at the fair. I like Iowa because it has the perfect weather, mild to hot summers, and cold winters. Iowa has many kinds of animals, such as foxes, wolves, squirrels, chipmunks, and different kinds of birds. Iowa is a great state and I hope now you think so too!
The Old Shed
When my grandpa died, we had to clean out the house and all of the old buildings. My grandpa lived on a farm. My cousin, Alli, and I had to clean out Papa's old, white, rickety, shed. We are at the back of the shed, almost done cleaning out it, when we come across 7 old, and rusted milk barrels. We look inside each one of them and there are metal scraps, wheels, and old Pepsi cans. We heard a small meow and Alli looked in the one that we thought it was coming from and we found 2 small, black, and grey kittens. Alli and I wanted to hold them so bad but they looked so small and innocent that if we touched them the mother probably wouldn't come back so we decide not to touch them. Instead, we moved the milk barrel into the corner and reminded ourselves not to look in it or remove it. After we finished cleaning out the shed, we went inside the house and told everybody our discovery. Everytime we come to Papa's house, we make sure that the kittens are still there, and everytime they are.

What Sweet Potatoes Really Are!?!
Sweet potatoes are gross looking and gross tasting. The color is brown on the outside and orange on the inside. The outside of the sweet potato is wrinkly, while the inside is soft and kind of mushy. They are very big. Sweet potatoes are giant, wrinkly, fat, ape thumbs! I know that for a fact because a long time ago obnoxious apes were planning to take over the human race. They had lots of meeting of how they were going to wipe out the humans all in one fight! There was a huge world-wide war with every continent involved. It was the humans against the apes. The war was a long, hard, battle but with hard fighting the humans won and the remaining apes promised never in their existence to fight with the humans. As a victory to the humans they cut off the remaining dead ape thumbs for a souvenir and ate them, some of them are still around today! It is orange on the inside because that is the apes dried blood. There are no bones in ape thumbs, so would have never known that it was an ape thumb. Be grateful that I was here to inform you! Luckily we have no apes to control, and we can live an almost normal life. Just never try to eat sweet potatoes because now you know what they really are!

This week is homecoming! In the high school you have to dress up in different costumes according to the day. Monday was "tropic like it's hot" where you would wear tropical clothes or Hawaiian clothes. Tuesday was "neon day" where you would wear as much neon as you can. Wednesday was "make your own trend" so you would wear something that you would want to go in style or you want everyone else to wear. Thursday was "Career Day" where the freshman had to wear something that was businesslike, Sophomores had to wear something that was like a rockstar, Juniors had to wear something that was a dirty job or something that a person who works as something dirty, and lastly Seniors had to wear yoga clothes or if you were a yoga teacher. The last day is Friday which is the same every year, "black and gold day" where you wear as much black and gold as you can!
Also on Friday is the parade and pep-rally. Iron man volleyball and powderpuff football is on Thursday. Iron man volleyball is when boys play against boys while they are playing volleyball. Powderpuff football is when the girls play against girls when they are playing flag football. On Friday is the parade, where they have floats and throw candy at us. Then after the parade is the pep-rally, where people get excited for the homecoming game at night. This year will be my first time at a pep-rally. Hopefully its fun! I can't wait until i'm in high school, you get to do so many fun things, especially at homecoming!

The Unbreakable Ant Mound
Little Red is a little black ant that lives in an ant mound all by himself. The worst part about his mound is that it is located in a children's playground. Little Red doesn't know why his mound always gets covered up and stepped on. Little Red is rebuilding his mound and trying to think of ways that will help from kids stepping on it. He began to build his mound how he thought would help from kids stepping on it. He dug deeper into the mound and covered it with a roof. After he was done, Little Red congratulated himself on such an achievement. A few minutes later when a mysterious bell rang a kid stepped on it and the roof caved in and cover the mound. His mound is ruined! Little Red was so mad he had forgotten the rules, never talk to humans, but he did because he yelled, "Hey you, I can't believe you just did that, do you know how hard it took to make this mound!"
The kid which name is Joe said startled, " I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to step on it, I couldn't even see it!"
"Well if you can't see it, then I bet the other kids can't see it!" said Little Red, "Could you at least help me think of a way I could prevent the kids from stepping on the mound?" said Little Red.
"Sure," said Joe.
Joe found some twigs and a piece of string and wrapped the string around the twigs in a square.
"There that should do it," said Joe feeling like he accomplished something.
"Thank you," said Little Red and Joe walked off into the building when the mysterious bell rang again. The next day nobody stepped on the mound.

Magic Crayons!
You should buy the best crayons in the world! They are Magic Crayons. They are very new. The crayons are at a low price of $5.99. Most crayons are at least 10 bucks, but the Magic Crayons are only $5.99. The special magic about the crayons is that they can glow in the dark, and they are also erasable! They are also like mood rings, they change color according to your mood. The magic crayons need no batteries! If you don't like the Magic Crayons because of the mood, all you have to do is say white five times and then the mood will turn to the normal color. The magic crayons come in a variety of colors. Neons and the regular colors. I think that the Magic Crayons are perfect for kids and teens!

A Place Where Your Dreams Come True
It was a long way to Florida. It was a 24 hour drive and we didn't even stop to a hotel. We were going to Disney World. First we went through Missouri and Tennessee. Then we went through Mississippi, Alabama and then Georgia. When we were going through Alabama there was a huge car crash that lasted 2 hours! It was horrible, but my mom and dad took turns driving so one person could sleep while the other one drove. When we did get there we went to Disney World and had a great time!

Volleyball
Volleyball is a good sport to play. When I play volleyball I am usually the setter, I am not a good back row player. I am mediocre at spiking but I like setting way better. You have to volley the ball back and forth and whatever team lets it hit the ground first, then the other team gets the ball. There are 6 players on the court. You have to get the ball over the net to the other side in 3 hit. It is usually bump, set, and spike. When the ball comes over the passer, usually the back row player needs to bump it to the setter. Then the setter sets it to the spiker, and finally the spiker hits it over the net. That's all about volleyball.

She laughs a lot so it's a good thing! Faith loves snacks, she told me that that word was her first word! It's like a playground in her backyard because she has a jungle gym, trampoline, swimming pool, sandbox, swing set, slide, and horse/tire swing. In her front yard she has a clubhouse! She has some trees separating the neighbors from her house and they make little forts under the trees and even climb them. She has two dogs, a Maltese, named Lily and a St. Bernard, whose name is Lucy. Love you Faithers!

Why I Want A Twin!!!
Here are some reasons why I want a twin! I want a twin because it would be fun wearing the same clothes and same hair. People would get really confused. Plus it would be fun because they say that twin sister have the same minds and can read there minds. It also would be fun because you would be in the same class and therefore would be like seeing a mirror. That would be cool! Those are some reasons why I really want a twin sister!

A Dangerous Sport
Playing football can be a dangerous sport. The reasons why it is a dangerous sport is because you could break bones, tear muscles, or even have a concussion. You could get kicked, hit, and slammed into the ground. I bet that would hurt. Another dangerous thing about playing football is if you got overheated or dehydrated. Football can be a dangerous sport. Bye! Hope you like my blog so far!! :)

Sports Are Awesome!!!! :)
Sports are awesome! The reason why they are awesome is because they keep you active. Another reason why sports are awesome is because you can meet new friends from different towns if you go on a team from a different city. Like me. I play on a basketball team in Marion IA, when I live an hour away! They are called the Titans. I love basketball, because it is intense. Basketball is my favorite sport. That's why sports are awesome! Bye!
I want to be an only child!!
Hi it's Sammy! It would be great to be an only child. There is never sassy talk from your sisters. You would never be in a fight and you would never be stressful. It would be peaceful because you would never get annoyed by your younger brothers and sisters. Being an only child would be also fun because you would get spoiled and get whatever you want. Another reason why it would be fun being an only child because you wouldn't have to be responsible for them all the time and make sure they do everything right. You also wouldn't have to babysit them all the time. Being an only child has it's advantages. Bye for now!! :)

A Good Friend
A good friend has a variety of qualities. They are always trustworthy and never lie to you. A good friend should stick up for you if you are being hurt by someone. My good friends are always making me laugh. A good friend should be understanding when you have to tell them something important. Friendship is made up of many things.
